Save The Kitten Videos ! 

We all know that our U.S. Government is trying to censor our inter web sharing capabilities, but these new proposed bills Protect IP Act (PIPA) and Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) would censor the web and impose regulations that will harm American business. 

WTF is SOPA and why should I care ? 

You post a hilarious kitten video from Youtube on your Tumblr, the copyright owner doesn’t want that video on Youtube. They contact Youtube and have them remove it, the video is no longer playable on your Tumblr. If SOPA is passed the Justice Department will be able to force your server to shut down, no questions or contact with you needed. Even if you attempt to post a link, they will be able to shut it down in the same fashion. You can be fined and serve a jail sentence, if they deem it reasonable. PIPA follows along the same lines but is being backed by major corporations (mostly Film + TV).

However, there are many internet based companies looking to get these bills thrown out some of them include Mozilla, Google, Facebook, English Wikipedia, Human Rights Watch, LinkedIn, eBay and many more.
