Wayne grew up in Chattanooga, moved to NYC in 1986 and became the designer for the hit television show Pee-Wee’s Playhouse (he also did Beakman’s World, Riders in the Sky, Bill & Wills, that’s just a few). Burton Revisits Frankenweeine !
The tale of a boy (Victor) and his dog (Sparky), Frankenweenie is one of my all time favorite Tim Burton movies. It’s not very well known and I can’t recall how it came into my possession (it was also just released as a bonus with the Nightmare Before Christmas special edition) but, if you’ve ever lost a pet in your childhood and felt the grief that comes with loosing your best friend you’ll love Frankenweenie. Originally a live action short film, Burton is redeveloping in his iconic stop motion style. Set for an October, 5th release in 2012. We’ll keep you posted for now enjoy the new pics!

Conversation With A Whale
Drew Chirstie animated this beautifully painful conversation between man & whale about the effects of humankind on our planet and our loss of compassion towards others. The message is one of inspiration and a deeper look into the kinds of conversations we should be having with ourselves. Click the pic for a link to the video ! (couldn’t post it b/c Drew’s profile is private on Vimeo)

Coming in 2012, a new block of DC Entertainment programming on Cartoon Network. My How things have changed. When I was a kid we were lucky to have two superhero shows at a time. Now we get way too much to actually compute. This could be good,Guess we will have to wait and see.
