Frietag F27 Notebook

Burton Revisits Frankenweeine !
The tale of a boy (Victor) and his dog (Sparky), Frankenweenie is one of my all time favorite Tim Burton movies. It’s not very well known and I can’t recall how it came into my possession (it was also just released as a bonus with the Nightmare Before Christmas special edition) but, if you’ve ever lost a pet in your childhood and felt the grief that comes with loosing your best friend you’ll love Frankenweenie. Originally a live action short film, Burton is redeveloping in his iconic stop motion style. Set for an October, 5th release in 2012. We’ll keep you posted for now enjoy the new pics!

Scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark!
This is a shot for shot remake of the amazing first six minutes of the film! There may not be a better opening sequence in an action film period.
Fun fact: Harrison Ford’s role of Indiana Jones was offered to Tom Selleck of Magnum P.I. fame, but he wasn’t able to take the part because of contractual obligations to his television show.
